Iran animation 'Run Rostam Run' to go to Italy

Iranian animation 'Run Rostam Run' has been scheduled to be screened at the 7th edition of the Visioni Corte International Short Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Hossein Molayemi, 'Run Rostam Run' is about an old Persian national hero who should travel to the future and come to Tehran in order to make up for what he has done to his own son. In Tehran, he does not know whether to choose the legal or illegal way to reach his legitimate goal.

The 11-minute animation is a free comic adaptation of the traditional Persian tragic story of Rostam and Sohrab in Ferdowsi's masterpiece 'Shahnameh'.

The animated film was first screened at the Tehran International Animation Festival where it won the best animation and the best director awards.

The 2018 edition of the Visioni Corte Film Festival is slated for October 15-22, in Minturno, Italy.
